One Terminal, Five Ways to Verify
The Fastface 5 Pro FP (D-560) is built for organisations that cannot standardise on a single verification method. Office staff can check in by face without touching the device. Workers whose hands or faces are covered by protective equipment can fall back to a card or a palm scan. Contractors and short-term visitors can be cleared through a QR code without being enrolled biometrically at all. Every one of those paths writes to the same attendance management system, so the reporting stays consistent no matter which method an individual used.
Verification is handled on the device itself by an embedded ARM Cortex-A7 multi-core processor with dedicated AI acceleration, matching a face in one second or less at 99% recognition accuracy. Because the matching runs locally rather than in the cloud, throughput at the door does not depend on network conditions, while the results still sync to the central platform in real time.

Find Out If the D-560 Fits Your Site
Manual registers and disconnected terminals create work that nobody wants to do twice. Tell us how many entry points you run and how your teams are shifted, and we will tell you whether this model is the right fit or whether another unit in the Tipsoi device range suits you better.
What Sets the Fastface 5 Pro FP Apart
Peak-hour throughput is decided by consistency rather than by a single best-case number. The D-560 matches a face in one second or less at 99% accuracy, with a false acceptance rate of 0.001% and a false rejection rate of 0.1%. Those last two figures matter more than they look on a datasheet: a low false acceptance rate is what keeps an unauthorised person out, while a low false rejection rate is what stops a legitimate worker from being turned away and queueing twice.
The dual camera setup pairs an infrared sensor with an RGB sensor at 1932 x 1092 resolution, and 120 dB wide dynamic range handles the difficult lighting that defeats single-sensor devices. That covers an entrance facing direct glare during part of the day, a corridor that goes dim on a night shift, and a gate where workers arrive backlit against bright sky. Live face detection works from 0.3 m to 2 m and the range is configurable on the device, so the trigger distance can be tuned to a narrow doorway or an open lobby.
Because matching happens on the terminal itself rather than being sent away for processing, recognition does not stall when the connection is slow. Records still reach the central platform in real time once the link is available.
At 174 mm by 84 mm by 18 mm without its support bracket, the terminal sits close to the wall instead of protruding into a doorway. The slim profile suits a reception area or a corporate lobby where a bulky security fixture would look out of place.
The same unit is rated IP65 against water and dust, and rated for operation from minus 10 degrees to plus 60 degrees Celsius at 10% to 90% humidity. That combination is what allows a single model to be specified across an entire property rather than buying one device for the air-conditioned head office and a different one for the gate house, the yard or a covered site entrance. Anyone deploying across construction and site-based workforces will recognise why that consistency simplifies both procurement and spares.
Design and durability specifics:
- 18 mm depth, 174 mm by 84 mm face, excluding the support
- IP65 protection against water and dust ingress
- Operating range of minus 10 to plus 60 degrees Celsius
- Working humidity from 10% to 90%
- CE, FCE and ROHS certification
- Three-year warranty
- Supplied with power adapter, mounting kit, back plate and cables
Five verification methods are supported on the device: face, fingerprint, palm, QR code, and ISO/IEC 14443 Type A/B 13.56 MHz smart cards. More useful than the count is that they can be combined. Authentication policies are configurable, including face only, card only, fingerprint only, face plus card, face plus fingerprint, card plus fingerprint, face plus card plus fingerprint, and other combinations.
That flexibility is what lets one device serve areas with different risk levels. A general staff entrance can run on face alone for speed. A server room, cash office or controlled store can require two factors before the relay releases the lock. Nothing needs to be re-specified in hardware terms; the policy changes and the same terminal enforces it.
Capacity is sized for growth rather than for today’s headcount. The device holds 30,000 face templates, 30,000 cards, 10,000 fingerprints and 200,000 logs, which covers large multi-shift populations and seasonal intake without a hardware change. Live face detection guards against presentation attempts using a photograph or a screen, and 1:1 and 1:N modes are both available depending on whether an identity is being confirmed or searched.
Connectivity is built in over Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) and LAN, with a 10/100/1000 Ethernet port on the unit. The protocol list is where integration work actually gets easier: TCP/IP, MQTT, DHCP, HTTPS, NTP and a REST and JSON API for IoT communication. An MQTT broker keeps data flowing without polling, and NTP keeps timestamps aligned across sites, which is what makes cross-site reports trustworthy in the first place.
The API is deliberately lightweight and designed for real integration rather than a one-way export. It uses a JSON data format with a push and pull dual transfer mechanism, supports chunk-wise transfer so the receiving system can process data at its own pace, and lets a customer platform database ID be used as the Inovace platform user ID so records map cleanly between the two systems. A single central API serves any number of devices, with devices or projects separated by API tokens.
Alongside the API, a cloud-based web panel handles device management from any location, with central database management, real-time data, one-time enrolment, bulk user creation from an Excel file, device data cloning to another terminal, and fingerprint template management from the panel itself. End-to-end encryption protects data in transit. On the device, security is handled through TLS encryption, a password-protected administrator account, role-based access and audit logs.
Wiring options cover the physical side of an installation: Wiegand, relay, RS232 and USB Host, with a relay output for door hardware and a real-time clock on board. Firmware is updated over USB or OTA.
The Tipsoi mobile app for Android and iOS gives managers attendance data, access logs and system controls without requiring them to be on site. For anyone supervising several locations, that removes the round of calls and site visits that manual attendance collection normally involves, and it means an unusual pattern can be picked up on the day it happens rather than at month end.
Employee-side self-service reduces the routine load on HR. The associated centralised software optionally supports an AI-powered chatbot or voice assistant for employee self-service functions, which takes the repetitive questions about balances, timings and records away from the HR inbox.
Device setup is deliberately simple. A terminal is activated by scanning a QR code from the Tipsoi HRM mobile app, so bringing a new unit online at a new site does not require a specialist visit or a dedicated PC. Details are covered in the Tipsoi HR and attendance platform overview.
