What Sets Fastface 7 Apart
Fastface 7 is built around scale. The device holds up to 30,000 face templates and 30,000 RFID cards , backed by storage for 200,000 logs. That headroom is what makes it a fit for organisations running large headcounts through a small number of entry points.
Where that capacity matters:
- Manufacturing and industrial production. Sites running day, evening and night shifts can move hundreds or thousands of workers through the same entry point without the system becoming the bottleneck at changeover.
- Schools, colleges and universities. A single institution can cover students, teaching staff and administrative teams across several departments or campuses under one enrolment database.
- Hospitals and clinics. Healthcare sites carry unusually layered access needs, spanning doctors, nursing staff, technicians, administrators and visitors, and each group can be handled without loosening security in restricted zones.
Mid-range devices commonly cap out somewhere between 5,000 and 10,000 faces. Choosing a higher ceiling up front means headcount growth does not force a hardware replacement or a costly capacity upgrade later. For teams planning ahead, that is usually the difference between a one-time purchase and a repeat one. If you are weighing capacity across the range, the full Tipsoi device line-up sets out the face and card limits for each model side by side.
Recognition on Fastface 7 runs through a paired infrared and RGB camera setup, returning a match in 0.2 seconds or less at 99.99% accuracy. The reason for two sensors rather than one is lighting. An RGB camera struggles in darkness and washes out under strong backlighting; the infrared sensor does not, so the device keeps working when conditions are poor.
That matters in practice more than it does on paper:
Hospitals and 24-hour facilities. Overnight shifts and emergency situations rarely offer ideal lighting. Infrared detection keeps recognition consistent, so clinical staff are not held up at a door when timing matters.
Office buildings at peak intake. When a few hundred people arrive inside the same twenty minutes, sub-second matching is what stops a queue forming at reception. The throughput is the feature, not the speed figure on its own.
Industrial and plant environments. Lighting is uneven across most large facilities, and workers may be wearing protective gear. The dual-camera arrangement adapts across those conditions rather than requiring the entry point to be lit a particular way.
Because hardware and software are developed under one roof, Tipsoi handles installation and after-sales support directly rather than routing it through a third-party reseller.
The 7-inch IPS touchscreen is the most visible difference between Fastface 7 and smaller units in the range, set into a slim industrial-grade housing. The size is not purely cosmetic, though appearance does count at an entrance.
Where the display earns its place:
- Banks and financial offices. The unit sits in a client-facing area, so a clean, legible screen contributes to the impression the space makes while giving staff information they can read at a glance.
- Retail chains and showrooms. A modern interface at the door fits the design language of the rest of the space rather than working against it.
- Corporate head offices. Front-of-house hardware signals what an organisation invests in, and a larger, better-resolved screen reads accordingly.
Beyond appearance, a bigger screen simply reduces friction. Detail is readable without leaning in, staff can check their own punch record or move through on-device options quickly, and fewer people mis-tap or repeat an action. Small time savings at a busy door add up across a full shift.
Fastface 7 is designed to report into a central system rather than operate as an isolated terminal. Wi-Fi, LAN and TCP/IP connectivity are built in, feeding a centralised web dashboard with a REST API available on top.
Managing several sites at once. Organisations running multiple branches, plants or offices can view the whole workforce through one dashboard. HR can pull reports, compare attendance patterns between locations and apply the same policy everywhere, regardless of how far apart the sites are. Distributed and site-based teams are covered too, and our construction workforce solution shows how that works where the workforce moves between locations.
Fitting your existing stack. The REST API allows Fastface 7 data to flow into payroll, HR and ERP systems already in use. That removes manual entry between systems, which is where most attendance data errors originate, and keeps records synchronised in real time instead of at month end. The wider smart attendance and workforce platform covers rostering, leave and payroll on the same data.
Security and availability of data. Synchronisation is encrypted in transit, so employee records stay protected while remaining accessible to authorised administrators. Holding data in the cloud also means a hardware fault at one site does not take the attendance history with it.
An IP65 rating and a working temperature range of -40℃ to +60℃ put Fastface 7 in a different category from consumer-grade units, which tend to fail first in exactly the conditions where attendance tracking matters most.
Where the build quality shows:
- Industrial and free zone facilities. Production environments involve dust, humidity and temperature swings. An IP65 seal keeps the device running through conditions that would shorten the life of an unsealed unit.
- Outdoor mounting points. Gates, car park entries and external doors need hardware that holds up to weather rather than being retreated indoors after the first season.
- Chemical and processing plants. Where airborne particulates and harsh conditions are part of normal operation, a sealed body prevents the early failures that otherwise become a recurring cost.
Durability translates fairly directly into cost. Less maintenance, longer service life and less downtime mean fewer replacement cycles and fewer interruptions to attendance data. Our onboarding and implementation process covers site assessment and mounting decisions before installation begins.
